On foot –
If you don’t mind a 4,4 km walk to the centre of the city, walking to the city can be fun and beautiful: you walk along the canal Damse Vaart and the canals in the city.
By bike –
Cycling is a great way to explore the city. From our place it’s only 1,5 km to the canals surrounding the city. You can cycle into town or cycle along the mills and canal surrounding the water (cross the bridge and go left). In the city, the safest way to leave your bike is in the bike parkings: Sint-Amandstraat and ‘t Zand.
By bus –
The bus tickets cost 1,80 à 2 depending on how you buy them (on the bus, the app ‘De Lijn’, text message). Buses leave every twenty minutes (bus number 6).
By car –
The cheapest way to get to the city is proably by car. Park your car at the station (3,50 euros per day) and you have free bus tickets for everyone to get to or back from the centre. The walk from the station to the city is only 10 minutes and a nice walk too. The car park ‘t Zand is more expensive and often full at weekends. Parking your car in the centre is a real hassle: you can park for long and you have to pay. Parking your car around the city requires a blue disc to indicate your time of arrival; you can usually park for 4 hours just outside the city centre.
By taxi –
A taxi ride costs as much as 15-20 euros to get to the centre or the station. We are happy with the services of TAXI GEORGES. You can book a taxi by phone or email : +32 475 45 55 82.
This is the view from your window when you wake up in the morning.
You can see the horses and carriages leaving for the city in the morning. The forest is just across the street. Ideal for walks or a run.
We are located very close to the canal between Brugge and Damme: de Damse Vaart.
You can ride along the canal and follow the water until you reach the city centre. It's also nice to walk there or to go for a run.
